This girl made me a momma and I will never stop being grateful for that. It is crazy how much she is teaching me, when I am called to be her teacher.  When I am with her I am reminded to pause and laugh and dance and just be present.  She constantly has expressions like this on her face, and it reminds being silly is important.  Life is meant to be enjoyed!  How often do we forget that?!  Always rushing to the next thing and never just enjoying the little things.  She is making me want to be the best version of myself, because when I get frustrated with her, I am reminded we are like little children in the Lord's eyes (humbling) and we just don't get it.  Being a parent, in my opinion, is meant to teach us another aspect of the Lord.  To see him in another light.  To wrap our heads around a piece of his character.  It is so eye opening when I see Reagan through that lens.  Can you imagine having as much patience as God?!  We are supposed to be working toward that!
“But this is what I'm finding, in glimpses and flashes: this is it. This is it, in the best possible way. That thing I'm waiting for, for that adventure, that movie-score-worthy experience unfolding gracefully. This is it. Normal, daily life ticking by on our streets and sidewalks, in our houses and apartments, in our beds and at our dinner tables, in our dreams and prayers and fights and secrets - this pedestrian life is the most precious thing any of us will ever experience.” - Shauna Niequist, Cold Tangerines This precious family of mine... they are as good as it gets.   Real People with Real Stuff  Laughter and Tears Family Award Ceremonies Stovetop Hot Cocoa Insane Amounts of Cake and Pasta Crying Babies and Tired Adults Overnight Flights Across the Country Matching Pajamas Debates and Conversations Movies and Games Cousin Bonding All the Coffee Raclette Sandwiches and Dunkel Beer Christmas Morning Chaos
I have been feeling really inspired by this little book lately and I feel led to share... Simplicity and humility. Constantly bringing your mind and your heart back to the Lord. What a beautiful reminder to not overthink our relationship with the Lord, but to remember it is just that, a beautiful relationship that we must invest in constantly in order to experience it in its fullness. I hope these quotes effect you to pick up this little book and read it a little at a time.   “He does not ask much of us, merely a thought of Him from time to time, a little act of adoration, sometimes to ask for His grace, sometimes to offer Him your sufferings, at other times to thank Him for the graces, past and present, He has bestowed on you, in the midst of your troubles to take solace in Him as often as you can. Lift up your heart to Him during your meals and in company; the least little remembrance will always be the most pleasing to Him. One need not cry out very loudly;
